Silca launched their first foot pump in 1962 and it is this original pump that the Pista Plus is based on.

In addition to all the tested features from back then, Silca has also continued to develop the pump to keep it up to date with the latest bikes.

The pump is made to last, as it is made with a durable steel tube with an ash handle with a built-in guide for the hose when the pump is stored.

Inside the pump, Silca's leather gasket is used, which has been tested over decades to last a very long time.

The leather is 3mm thick and 10mm high, which provides a seal that lasts much longer than a rubber seal.

The pump head is of a type that holds itself onto the valve using tire pressure.

This works due to the specially designed rubber cone inside the pump head that is pressed around the valve as the pump head is put on, and it is pressed on even more firmly as the tire is inflated.

To remove the pump head again, simply pull it.

This pump head fits racing valves only. If it is to be used for autovalves, the pump head must be unscrewed, after which a pump head with threads for autovalves will then be present.

There is also an easy option to change the pump head to the HIRO type that Silca also offers if desired.

The manometer is 64mm large and located on the base of the pump. It is accurate to within 2% of the current tire pressure.

This pump can pump up to 15 bar, or 220 psi.
