A new version of the very popular Continental GP 5000 TL racing tire
The Grand Prix tire is recognized as one of the best all-round racing tires in the world
Continental has now launched the new variant 5000S TR Tubeless version which is also used by the biggest riders on the biggest cycling stages
The Grandprix 5000 tire has been improved and developed to be:
- 20% faster
- 28% Stronger (better puncture protection)
- 50 grams lighter
And those improvements have already proved their worth by being on the winning bike at the World Championships in Belgium, also leading Colbrelli to victory in the legendary Paris-Roubaix
Continental has achieved these improvements by reimagining the tubeless tire
The GP5000 s tire has been given a completely new 2-part structure, which not only gives the tire a lower weight and better rolling resistance but it also means that the tire is now easier to get on the bike

This is also because the tire is made "hookless" compatible and can be used on rims made for regular folding tires as well as rims made for Tubeless
The new construction also means there are changes to the maximum tire pressure:
