Functional Groove Design.
Pirelli Cinturato Velo has a tire pattern optimized for use on wet roads via Pirelli's FGD technology. The technology is the same that is used for the development of, motorcycle tires, where road grip is paramount under all conceivable conditions. The tire has a smooth centerline, as well as a pattern down the sides of the tire, which helps to direct the water away effectively.
