The oil is applied to the outside of the bearing cover when you have ridden in wet conditions or when you have washed your bike. Ceramic Speed recommends using 1-2 drops when the oil is used for maintenance.

It is recommended that if you drive the majority of your trips in wet and rough conditions Ceramic Speeds All Round Grease is used instead.
