The Silca SuperPista Digital is the third edition of the Superpista pumps that have been a favorite choice on the Pro tour for more than 30 years. In this version, it has been given a digital manometer.
The pump is made to last, it is made with a durable tube in an aluminum alloy in a drop-shaped design, so there is room for both the pump chamber, as well as an internal system to carry the air up to the high-mounted hose.
The handle is made of black ash wood with a strap that is placed over the handle during transport.
Inside the pump, Silca's leather gasket is used, which has been tested over decades to last a very long time.
The leather is 3mm thick and 10mm high, which provides a seal that lasts much longer than a rubber seal.
The pump head is Silca's HIRO pump head, which is a bit of a work of art in itself.
It is made of metal with a long handle that makes it easy to seal the pump head on the valve.
It works with valves as short as 10mm. and longer.
In addition, it can be adjusted in case it either does not close over your valve or cannot be fitted.
This is easily done by simply turning the tip of the pump head slightly and trying again until it makes a tight seal.
This pump head only fits racing valves. If it is to be used for auto valves, the pump head must be unscrewed, after which a pump head with threads for auto valves will appear.
Due to the smart handle, this pump head can also be easily mounted on the valves inside the disc wheel, through the small hole.
The hose is top-mountable and extra long, so you can easily pump up bikes both on a work stand and mounted on a bike rack at the back of the car.
The pressure gauge is digital and is mounted at the top of the pump so you can read it more easily. In addition, it also means that it is easier to switch between the units, bar, and psi.
In addition, it has backlighting as well as the ability to set an alarm when a certain pressure is achieved.
The display turns on even when you start pumping, and also turns off by itself sometime after you have finished.
The manometer is accurate to within 1% of the current pressure. It uses 2 x CR2032 batteries which are included.
On the side of the manometer, there is a magnetic docking for the pump head.
This pump can pump up to 15 bar, or 220 psi.
