The smart bicycle holder from TreeFrog is easily and quickly mounted on the car with suction cups.
It can be mounted on any flat surface, including cars with a glass roof, like the Tesla. However, the holder cannot be used on sunroofs that can be opened.
These are the perfect choice if you want a bike rack on the roof where other roof racks cannot be fitted due to the lack of roof bars.
The Elite holder can be used with racing bikes, triathlon bikes, gravel bikes, and cross bikes, both with rim brakes and disc brakes.
The included bracket can be used with front forks that have QR (9x100mm) and 12x100mm thru axle.
If you want to mount other front forks in the holder, you must use a different bracket for the holder (sold separately)
Each suction cup can hold 110 kg. so once the suction cups are attached to the car, they hold well.
Three suction cups hold the large bracket, while a single suction cup holds the rear wheel with a heavy-duty velcro strap.
How to mount the holder:
1. Detach the protective cover from the cups
2. Clean the surface of the car as well as the suction cups with clean water using the supplied microfiber cloth.
3. Moisten the edges of the suction cups with a little water and position the holder so that the front fork of the bike is straight forward and the rear wheel is straight back.
4. The vacuum cups are assembled and deflated one by one, from one side to the other. It is normal that the holder does not necessarily follow the roof of your car 100%
5. Pump until the white band is no longer visible and see that it continues to seal - Clean the suction cup if one of them fails to seal.
6. Mount the bicycle's front fork in the front holder.
7. Place the suction cup under the rear wheel and install it in the same way as the others.
8. Secure the rear wheel with the supplied Velcro strap.
9. Secure the pedal arm with the extra supplied velcro strap.
Max speed with holder is 130 km/h - speed over a bump is 25 km/h.
The Elite 1 holder can be used with racing, tri, gravel, and cross bikes weighing up to 12 kg.
Note, if you need to transport an MTB or a bicycle weighing more than 12 kg, you must use the Pro 1, 2, or 3 model instead.
If you need to transport an E-MTB, you must use the Pro 2 or 3 model.
