Topeak Pakgo X bike case.
The suitcase is aimed at cyclists who travel with their bikes, and it is designed so that it could easily be used by the professional teams.
The outer part of the case is made of "Makrolon" which is a polycarbonate. This turns the suitcase into a hard case, so you don't have to worry about the airline throwing the suitcase away.
There are carrying handles at the top and on the side of the suitcase so that it can be easily lifted into the car on the way to the airport. When you get to the airport, you can lift it up and drive it on the 4 wheels underneath it. They are 60mm in diameter, so they roll easily and effortlessly all the way from the parking lot to check-in.
There is protection on both the top and bottom, so you don't scratch the suitcase when you open it and put it on the ground.
There is also a lock where the zipper is inserted, so that no uninvited guests get into the suitcase.
Inside, there is a mounting system for the bike that is made of aluminium, so the bike stays exactly where you have mounted it, and it cannot be shaken off or damaged in any other way when it is in the suitcase.
On the inside, there is a wheel bag on each side, where you can easily put your wheels in, so that they are protected from the frame.
The bike is mounted on the stand with either standard quick releases or with 12x100 and 12x142mm thru axles.
Therefore, it is only suitable for racing bikes.
The wheelbase must not exceed 112cm, as otherwise it cannot be placed on the stand.
The total height of the bicycle must also not be higher than 80cm.
When the bike is to be put in the suitcase, it is necessary to remove the handlebars and tighten them around the front fork.
The rear derailleur can stay on. A cover is included, which is attached from the rear derailleur to the crankset, so that oil does not get in unwanted places.
There are also sleeves and foam to wrap the frame down with so that it does not scratch against the aluminum stand.
The entire bike is fastened to the rack and case with velcro straps and elastic, so you can be sure that everything will stay in its place during the trip.
It measures 126x83x33cm and weighs approx. 12.8kg when the tripod and all protection are in the case.
