Dirtlej makes some of the best protection against the elements you can find. And of course it is in the high quality that the Germans are known for.
With a dirtsuit, you avoid mud and water getting into places it shouldn't be, such as at the edge between your trousers and jacket.
Dirtsuit is waterproof, windproof and breathable and made from a strong material so you don't have to worry about the elements.
The water tightness is 20000mm.
The breathability is 15000 g / m2 / 24 hours
The zippers are waterproof.
The new SFD variant has added a hood that fits over a helmet.
The pockets are slanted, which ensures that they are less in the way when you cycle and the wear resistance between the legs and on the contact surface at the saddle is enhanced.
In addition, there are cuffs at the wrist to protect against wind that can get in at the sleeve.
Ventilation
So that you don't boil over when using your Dirtsuit, there are plenty of options for ventilation.
Under the arms there is a long zip which allows plenty of air to enter.
On the front above the waist, there is a zipper on each side which allows a little air to pass through.
On the side of each leg there is another ventilation opening.
At the top of the back you will find a ventilation opening which is always open.
Customization and adjustment options
You can adjust your Dirtsuit with Velcro in the sleeves, legs and waist so that it fits you best.
The hood can be adjusted both around the edge, but also on the back, so that it is pulled away from the face.
The hood can also be folded completely away with the built-in flap on the inside of the jacket. When it is folded, the hood lies around the neck so that it is not in the way.
The arms and legs can be zipped off, so with this Dirtsuit you get one that works both with short or long legs. Then you can better adjust according to the weather. For example, you can take off the sleeves if it's hot, but the track is still very muddy, or you can take off both the sleeves and the long legs for extra temperature regulation.
Pockets
There are pockets at the front of the legs which can be used for e.g. a phone, keys or energy.
There is a single pocket on the chest which can be used for smaller items.
At the back there are two pockets that close with velcro.
You will find the last pocket on the left arm and is smart if you are out driving in areas with a lift, as you will then be able to have your lift pass here.
Extra details
The back is extra reinforced where there is contact with the saddle. On the inside at the ankle there is also reinforcement.
The Dirtsuit SFD edition is made of an even stronger material than the Dirtsuit Classic Edition, and therefore resembles a shell jacket more than the Classic edition does. This also means that it is even more durable against both the elements and wear.
At the waist on the back, there is a wide elastic which increases your freedom of movement. That way, you don't feel restricted when you have to do your best in the forest.
The hood can have a helmet inside, so you're ready for the wettest and muddiest days.
There are reflective details in some places.
Dirtsuit is washed at 30 degrees and centrifuged at low revolutions.
Do not tumble dry. Impregnate if necessary after washing.
The Core Edition is large in size and there is therefore room for extra clothes inside.
If you want a fit that sits a little closer, you can advantageously go down a size compared to what you normally wear.
See size guide for extra fit details.
