Garmin Radar Taillight Varia RTL516
The smart taillight is built in with a Radar which can tell you if a vehicle is approaching from behind, all the way up to 140 meters away.
The device connects with bluetooth with your Garmin Edge bicycle computer, Garmin Smartwatches (watches) or a compatible smartphone. With the new Varia Mobile App, it gives you eyes in the neck and can both tell if one or others cars are approaching, and if they are coming at high speed.
Garmin has also made it possible for the flashlight to work with third-party apps so that it can also be used with "Ride with GPS"
The lamp can be seen at a 220 degree angle so it is also visible from the side
The rear light acts as a radar that detects cars up to 140m away, so you are sure to be seen.
It is displayed with dots that symbolize how close the cars are to catch up with you. The dots are completely out in the left side, and do not disturb your data fields.
The color in side of your GPS is also displayed. Green is safe, yellow is a car on the road and red is a car on the road at high speed.
An improved mounting option is included so you can now both put it on D-shaped, Aero and round seat posts
The RTL516 has a battery life of up to 9 hours in the on state
