It is aerodynamically optimized in every way it can.
It is made of "unidirectional" carbon, which gives a stiffness in a special class but still provides good vibration damping.
The handlebars are around where you mount your stem and where you can have space for a mount for your bike computer. A little further out, the profile becomes flat, so you cut through the wind and save energy.
The handlebars have often been in a wind tunnel during development, and Zipp has found that the flat section on top saves you 6.4 watts compared to a regular round handlebar at 48.3 km/h.
