The tire is with Schwalbe's Addix Speedgrip rubber compound. Compared to the previous PaceStar Compound, the tire has greater durability with more kilometers in it, better grip, and better dampening properties. However, this comes with a small minus in that the tire has got a bit more rolling resistance.

Schwalbe's figures for PSC are:

62% more durability.

35% more grip.

15% extra attenuation.

6% poorer rolling resistance.

The pattern on Nobby Nic, is made for all disciplines within mountain biking. It can be used for the fast cross-country rider for the more trail and enduro-oriented rider.

The knobs are relatively coarse and give a really good grip - even when it is very muddy. In dry and sandy conditions, the distance between the knobs benefits you, as they provide a good grip and have less tendency to slip.

On the side of the tire, the knobs are at two different heights, ensuring you grip when you are completely down in the curves.

The large knobs and good grips come at the expense of rolling resistance. This is due to both the extra weight in the large buds, and the distance between them.

It's a folding tire, and with the SnakeSkin version, it's also easy to set up to run tubeless.

The tire is 26x2.25 "or 57-559 in ETRTO dimensions.

Recommended tire pressure is 1.8-3.7 bar (26-54psi).
