A redesigned version of one of the most popular racing tires of all time, the Continental Grand Prix 5000 (also known as gp 5000, gp5000, Continental gp 5000, or gp-5000).
The deck is not just an update with a completely redesigned version and the level has been raised to that extent.
Continental reports that the tire has:
12% Lower rolling resistance.
20% Better puncture protection.
10 grams lighter.
They have, among other things, achieved this by redesigning the tire surface and pattern.
Black Chili Compound is considered by many to be the best rubber compound to date.
The tire is further enhanced with both VectranBreaker (puncture protection), ActiveComfort (shock absorption), and LazerGrip (road grip), all in an updated version, to provide the most optimal tire for all types of driving and routes.
