The brake lever is mounted with a clamp around the handlebar, allowing you to precisely position the brake. It features a Shimano I-Spec EV lever, making it compatible with Shimano I-Spec EV shift levers, allowing for a cleaner cockpit with both the shift lever and brake positioned together.

The clamp is positioned closer to the center of the brake, providing additional support toward the lever, making the brake 10% stiffer according to Shimano. This enhances your ability to modulate pressure, ensuring better control and preventing accidental wheel lock-up.

The brake is designed for one-finger operation, allowing you to focus on the trail ahead. The brake caliper responds quickly to lever pressure, resulting in faster braking. The pistons also retract swiftly, requiring less time to apply the brakes and allowing you to maintain maximum speed on the bike.

The caliper is effective at dissipating heat, and this can be further enhanced by using brake pads with cooling fins. It is designed for post-mount installation.

The technology in this brake set is similar to that used in the XT series. However, the material choice is different, making the brake slightly heavier, and the modulation may not be as refined as in the XT M8100. Nevertheless, many riders may not notice the difference due to the advanced technology.

The set comes with a 1000mm hose, ensuring compatibility with the rear brake on most standard bicycles. It is delivered fully assembled and ready for installation. If the cable needs to be shortened for optimal positioning on your bike, fittings are included for home adjustment.
