Shimano PD-ED500 is a good pedal at a good price.

The pedal has protection on the outside of the click mechanism which protects the click mechanism against impacts from stones ect.

It is easy to click in and out of and it is beginner friendly.

At the back of the pedal, you can adjust the tension on the click mechanism so that you can decide for yourself how easy it should be to click out of the pedal.

There are clicks on both sides which make it easy to click in, no matter how the pedal turns.

The pedals weigh 442 grams for a set.
