Shimano SLX M7100 Rapidfire shift lever for rear derailleur.

The trigger in the SLX M7100 sits on the right side and controls the rear derailleur.

It is adjustable in position, so when mounted with a brake lever that is Shimano I-spec EV compatible. It can be slid back and forth, as well as up and down the angle, so you get the best possible fit.

There is multi-release when you need to shift up and down, so you can shift several gears in one press. To get into a heavier gear, can push the trigger both back and forth.

According to Shimano, it takes 35% less power to shift and it has become 20% faster compared to the SLX M7000.

It is light and responsive so you do not have to spend extra energy on your shifts so you can keep control and concentration on track.

The technology in the whole trigger is similar to the one used in both XT and XTR. However, the choice of material is different, which makes the trigger heavier, the friction greater and the accuracy of the different parts a little bit lower.

However, not everyone can feel the difference, precisely because the technology is so well developed.
