NOTE: This rear derailleur cannot be mounted on a gear drop.

The XX SL Eagle derailleur is mounted around the wheel axle itself on bikes made for the Sram Universal Derailleur Hanger and is mounted instead of the Sram UDH, with the first of its kind "Hangerless Interface". This fundamentally changes the entire relationship between the cassette and rear derailleur. In addition, its Full Mount attachment method creates a much stronger connection between the rear derailleur and the frame and allows you to shift gears with a heavier load on the pedals.

The rear derailleur has an overload clutch that increases the resistance to any crashes or impacts and really makes the rear derailleur built to last.

The pulley wheels on this rear derailleur have the new "Magic Wheel" technology, which allows the teeth on the pulley wheel to rotate freely even if a branch has come through the hole on the pulley wheel.
